Description:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with pelvic floor dysfunction, including internal and external assessment techniques as clinically indicated
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing incontinence, pelvic pain, prolapse, diastasis recti, and pre/postpartum rehabilitation
Provide patient education on pelvic floor anatomy, bladder/bowel retraining, posture, and self-management strategies
Utilize biofeedback, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and other modalities specific to pelvic health treatment
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinic and payer requirements
Collaborate with referring physicians (urologists, OB/GYNs, colorectal surgeons) and other members of the care team
Maintain a caseload consistent with clinic productivity standards
Stay current on best practices and continuing education in pelvic health
Requirements:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent PT degree from an accredited program
Active, unrestricted Florida PT license (or eligibility to obtain licensure)
Completed or actively pursuing specialized pelvic health training (e.g., Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, APTA Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy (CAPP-Pelvic), or equivalent coursework)
Prior clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics and/or pelvic health strongly preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with sensitivity to the personal nature of pelvic health care
Current CPR certification
